### Vision

> What does the organisation aspire to become, or the impact it hopes to have?

* Becoming the pre-eminent location for the hedging of risk on-chain. Meaning that hedgers don’t choose to clear OTC they choose to clear with us. It means the largest on-chain Open Interest. Execution does not need to be on Jetstream in 5 years time.
* We want to see defi take hedging and the needs of those that want to hedge seriously to enable capital growth on-chain. It means serious open interest for futures not just perps.
* If we are successful, we can compare ourselves to traditional exchanges in volume terms. CME is 260x larger than Hyperliquid in volume terms, we want to play in that space.

> What do we do to achieve the vision?

Jetstream is designed to unlock TradFi-grade liquidity in DeFi by enabling a wider diversity of traders and strategies to operate on a single capital-efficient platform.

> What does it mean in practice?

* We bring a good enough user experience for all traders' demographics, with an incentive plan that provides early users with a significant upside in the success of the protocol.
* We make sure that basic use cases give equality or effective equality (the actual rather than optimal use case) of our main competitors.
* We need to talk about use cases for different users (such as hedging).
* We need to incentivise a group of prop traders, probably as a JV, to support and provide initial traction. Products do not equal traction; incentives do.
* Communication needs to be constant, tight, and targeted.
